Ayurvedic Asthma Treatment – 40-day Course for Adults

Chyavanprash

Chyavanprash is the specific medicine for acute and chronic asthma and cough (Respiratory Problems). It is a respiratory tonic with a rich and reliable vitamin C of Amalaka which is the main ingredient. The classics quote that Chyavana Maharishi got back his youth by using this preparation. Though this claim may be exaggerated, it is true that it prevents weakness which results from ageing.

Direction of Use : 6g (one teaspoon) to be rolled into a small marble sized ball and consumed before food.

NOTES : Minimum of two glasses of milk is to be consumed per day when on Chyavanprash.

Shivagutika

Shivagutika is chiefly indicated in cancer, tumors, enlargement of the liver, Hodgkin’s disease etc., Shivagutika is useful as a local application in tonsils, adenoids, polypus and local growths. Combined with Guggulutiktaka Ghrita it may also be employed in the treatment of brain tumours and cancerous growths.

Direction of Use : The pill is a 2 gm pill which is to be broken/cut into four equal pieces and 2 pieces equalling half a pill to be consumed twice daily 1 hour before food.

Kanaka Kalpa

Kanaka Kalpa medicine is highly useful in acute and chronic asthma, chronic bronchitis, whooping cough, cough and certain other pulmonary disorders arising from vastasleshma morbidity.

Direction of Use: 12ml (two teaspoonful) diluted with 24ml (four teaspoonfuls of water) twice daily, after food.

NOTES : Not to be consumed by diabetics.
