Gram flour or Channa dal or besan (Kannada: kadale hittu, Hindi: besan‎) is a flour made from a variety of ground channa dal or Bengal gram. Gram flour can be made from either raw or roasted gram beans. A coarse form of black gram flour is known as Sattu. It is a yellow lentil, rounded on one side and flat on the other.
