The pistachio /Pistacia vera or pista is a small nut of the cashew family. When consumed moderately pista aids in weight loss, is a rich source of antioxidants, is low in calories yet high in protein, promotes healthy gut bacteria, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure. Pista can be used for making sweets like barfi, kulfi, icecream, cookies, phrini, panna cotta.
